I started working on my degree in 2006. Prior to that I had no graphic design experience outside hand making greeting cards for my deployed husband.
I have been an artist and a maker since I was a kid. Graphic Design allowed me to funnel my creative abilities into a career. Two years into my degree, I got my first design job at a print shop in Shreveport, LA. I was scared and excited at the same time.
I learned so much about print production and how to layout design elements that would print well. This first look into design laid a strong foundation for me to build my entire career in graphics.
My next job as a web designer fueled another passion I didn’t realize I would love. Web design. After several years of teaching myself HTML, CSS and PHP, I decided to get a degree and go for my Masters in Web Design. I graduated in 2015 and had a great work history and a bright future.
I’ve taken what I’ve learned in print, graphics, and web and applied it to my career. It’s given me a rich back ground and a wide variety of abilities.
